The annual British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) Awards show cream of the UK interactive marketing crop with Holler scooping agency of the year.
Last night saw the announcement of the winners of this year’s BIMA Awards with Holler scooping agency of the year and Jam claiming the Grand Prix for its ‘Xbox – A real-life transfer saga for the virtual world’ campaign.
Overall Jam was one of the biggest winning agencies of the night, scooping two awards for its Xbox campaign and two for its ‘Tap for Water’ Philippines Typhoon appeal.
Holler, part of Leo Burnett, was awarded as agency of the year.
The awards, which is now in its 30th year, aims to benchmark the best interactive media work in the UK with categories spanning many industries and technologies.
One award category highlight was the Blue-Sky category, which 12ahead sponsored. The winner was Redweb for its ‘Head to head’ product. The agency created a beer dispenser that works via brain control using an EEG reader (see video above).
According to BIMA, entries for the User Experience and Social Media categories were up 57% and 21% respectively. The App Business won the User Experience category for its ‘On Track’ app for Go-Ahead Group and Jam secured the social media top spot for Xbox.
Other agencies securing more than one award included included R/GA, Holler, Razorfish, AMVBBDO and Ogilvyone.
